The origin
Ethiopia is considered to be the country of origin for the coffee. The country consists of a large plateau, where the plantations can be as high as 3700 meters. The country is very poor and its main business is coffee cultivation. Moka Sidamo comes from southeastern Ethiopia, the province of the same name. Sidamo beans are handpicked and sun dried, such as 100 years ago. The labor required for production is very high. Because of the dry coffee processing, the coffee has a pleasant fruity aroma. The taste is full bodied, well balanced, round and lingers in the mouth.

According to the legend, this coffee was discovered in the 1500s by a shepherd in Abyssinia, when he saw his goats dancing on their hind legs after eating the red berries. The shepherd tried some berries and felt suddenly very awake. The village people were very fond of the berries, as these helped them stay awake during all church prayer session.
